Finally back home after an amazing 8 days in DC for the 2025 SANS OSINT Summit! I knew that I would reconnect with old friends and make new ones, but this year exceeded even my wildest expectations. The summit was fantastic, starting from the very first keynote talk by Flashpoint’s Andrew Borene. Thanks again to the amazing staff at SANS for all the hard work behind the scenes at the summit and to my co-chair Nico Dekens.
After the summit, I had the pleasure of teaching the SEC 497 Practical OSINT course to a large number of students both in person and online. To say that it was an amazing group of students would be doing them an understatement! We finished the week up after the capstone exercise by going into downtown DC, spending a couple of hours at the F1 Arcade enjoying food, drinks, and four F1 simulators. It was a perfect way to end what was an incredible 8-day experience, and I can’t wait for next year to see how we can try to top this!
